“My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.” (Psalm 84:2)
God made you as a wonderfully complex individual. Your body’s physiology is amazing, as is your ability to use reason and intellect. God has also created you to feel emotions. They are a gift, but also complex and, at times, mystifying. Everyone feels emotions, and that is a good thing.
The writers of the Psalms are not afraid to express very raw emotions to God in prayer. In this spring and summer sermon series we will focus on different emotions that are part of our human experience, explore them, evaluate why we are feeling them, and ask the Holy Spirit to guide us in the best ways to act on them.
