New sermon series starting April 23
Perhaps we think of Jesus’ twelve disciples as ‘super followers’ of Jesus who were perfect in their faith and devotion to him. While the disciples were important and faithful people, in the Bible we also get a strikingly ordinary and fallible view of them.
Some of the disciples we know a lot about, but others are only mentioned briefly in the scriptures. The disciples were ordinary people who followed Jesus, who was an extraordinary man.
In this nine week sermon series, we will learn more about some of Jesus’ disciples and see the successes and difficulties they faced as followers of Jesus. From these ordinary people, we will also learn, as ordinary folks ourselves, how to be modern day disciples and followers of Jesus.
