James Lindberg

I have been ordained as a Lutheran pastor for 17 years and graduated from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1998. My early years of ministry were spent serving large congregations in Lakeville, Minnesota and Tempe, Arizona. I came to Nebraska in 2003 to serve First Lutheran Church in Avoca. In 2007, I received a call from Rejoice! Lutheran Church and the Nebraska Synod to develop a new congregation in the growing suburbs of West Omaha. I am currently the pastor of Living Grace and live in Omaha with my wife Lori and three children — Noah, Sarah, and Rachel.

I have a passion for finding ways of making the words of the Bible connect with people’s lives by applying its ancient truths to modern life. I enjoy finding stories, movie clips, artwork and other means to help people better understand what God is saying through the scriptures. I am also thankful for the committed and talented people God has sent, and will continue to send, to lead and serve Living Grace.

Living Grace gives me the exciting opportunity to help mold and shape — with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and others — a healthy, fun, vibrant and active congregation. I am also excited at the abundance mentality of its leaders who continue to develop, implement and lead Living Grace’s wonderful events and ministries. I look forward to seeing the continued growth of Living Grace Lutheran Church.
